시차적응 안되서 새벽 5시에 일어나 라면 하나 먹고나니 할일이 없다.
마트나 갔다 올까.. 한국음식파는 마트 가까이에 있던데.. 에이 귀찮다 ㅡ.ㅡ;;

One of the three world-best fantasy novel. of course, in point of view of English literature.
(The other one is Narnia, and another one is.. yes. Lord of the Ring.)
The author created a quite interesting and unique fantasy world.
In this wonderful world, you can control anything if you know their 'real' name.

As you know, everything in the world have their own names, which are 'named' by human.
Of course all of us have our own names either, which are 'given' by our parents.

Do you know your 'real' name? What is the 'real' of you?
How could we know the 'real' of others even we don't know ours yet?

If you like fantasy novels, you must not miss this book.

Nikon 18-55mm and Nikon 50mm 1.8 lenses

I have two lenses for my DSLR, Nikon D50.

18-55mm is just a bundle lens but it shows quite good quality of images :)
I'm not sure what quality the 50mm lens will show me because I recently purchased it.
We'll see soon.

요즘 가끔 먹는

카스 레드와 캔막걸리. 뭐 저 가격대 맥주맛이야 거기서 거기고 그나마 도수가 제일 높기 때문에 저거 마심. 빨리 취해버리게 ㅡ.ㅡ;; 가끔 집에서 룸메이트랑 한잔씩 하면 딱 좋다.
캔막걸리도 나름 먹을만. 가격도 무지 싸서 좋고. 두 개 섞어서 먹어볼까. 나름 폭탄주?

자, 그럼 오늘도 호머 심슨의 명언처럼 뇌를 죽이러 한번 가볼까? ㅋㅋ

Sony GPS-CS1

속초 & 백담사 여행 (SokCho and BackDam Temple)

With my close friend, I had two day and one night trip at last weekend. I'm quite busy those days but he'd like to enjoy his 'rare' vacation, so we agreed to just go some nearby places. And it was 'SokCho' famous city of the eastern part of Korea.

We could see the night view of SokCho from the Misiryung ridge.

The DongMyung port. A lot of fresh fishes are ready for your dinner ^____^

You can choose and buy any fishes you want. It's very cheap when compared with the price in Seoul.
And remember that the 38th store is best, you must not miss it. (I don't have anything to do with that store. Even I didn't buy fishes from there. But she favorably allowed me to take her photo :) )

Scintillation effect

The scintillation effects on 5s and 5Hz astronomical data. Without scintillation, we cannot explain the noise behavior on short exposure time scales. The data were provided by TAOS collaboration. Because I'm one of them :) The graph is plotted by python + Matplotlib.

Replace my laptop fan with new one.

After two years hard work, my laptop's fan broke down. Temperature of my laptop was 58 degree. ha~. So I replaced the old fan with new one by myself. In order to do that, I had to disassemble my machine. Unfortunately, one of the screwhead was worn down.. Even though I had been tried hardly to unscrew it, I couldn't.. And, as you know, the final solution of such case is just strong 'force'. Poor my laptop.. I'm sorry T_T...

Comet Holmes (2)

Comet Holmes, observed at Center Korea Observatory, 27 Oct. 2007.
The above image is LRGB combined image by using IRAF, Registax and Photoshop.
The comet has been expanding continuously since detection of its outburst (a few days ago), and now, this comet is larger than Jupiter which is biggest planet in Solar system.

P.S. it's fake color :) wait for a while for real color.

Comet Holmes

Amazing space. This faint 17 magnitude comet Holmes has brightened to 2.5 magnitude over past 3 days. It means that it gets 1 ~ 2 million times brightened!!! You can see it with your naked eyes even in the full moon. Don't miss this wonderful scene.
