Nikon 18-55mm and Nikon 50mm 1.8 lenses

I have two lenses for my DSLR, Nikon D50.

18-55mm is just a bundle lens but it shows quite good quality of images :)
I'm not sure what quality the 50mm lens will show me because I recently purchased it.
