
Even now, my favorite text editor is UltraEdit, but it seems that jEdit is a quite good substitute.
At previous version of jEdit, it didn't have necessary feathers UE has, but it does now.
One weak point is that because it works based on java virtual machine, it consumes much memory than UE does. about 60M for one instance.
